The Qnap TS-1079 Pro Oman NAS Server with 10GbE Network Ready Bundle is a server that functions as both IP-SAN (iSCSI) and NAS. It is easily employable in various business and enterprise applications, as a backup center and for disaster recovery, file sharing, virtualization and video editing storage.

The Qnap TS-1079 Pro Oman offers a variety of security options to prevent unauthorized access to your data, even in the event that the hard drive or device is stolen. Sophisticated RAID configurations and hot-swap capabilities are present that offer high performance, protection and minimized rebuilding time. The dual OS embedded on the DOM architecture offers extra assurance that the system will boot up.

You can set up local or remote access with the server easily as it does not require IT skills. Simple management tools like instant SMS or Email alert, the hard drive S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) feature and system resource monitor are integrated to keep you up-to-date on your NAS at all times.

The system features an Intel Core i3 Processor, 2 GB DDR3 memory, 10 Gigabit network capability and a 6 GBps SATA interface for high performance and fast data transfer rates. It also provides fast data backup via USB 3.0.

The server supports SMB / CIFS, NFS and AFP protocols for file sharing across Windows, Mac and Linux or UNIX networks. There is a Real-Time Remote Replication (RTRR) between the system and a remote QNAP NAS, FTP server or external drive. It supports Amazon S3, ElephantDrive and Symform cloud storage backup. The built-in iSCSI feature offers an affordable IP-SAN (Storage Area Network) alternative for businesses.

The system provides AES 256-bit encryption. It functions as an all-in-one server, boasting file, FTP, backup, web, RADIUS, Syslog and print servers, as well as a surveillance station. It also features Multiple LAN deployment.

The Qnap TS-1079 Pro Oman is VMware® Ready™, Citrix® Ready™, compatible with Microsoft® Hyper-V™ certification and Windows Server 2012, and supports advanced functions including SPC-3, MPIO and MC/S, enabling flexible deployment and management for virtualization needs. The TS-1079 Pro supports VMware VAAI and Microsoft ODX to increase performance by offloading ESXi server loading, and supports QNAP vSphere Client plug-in and QNAP SMI-S provider to provide enhanced operational efficiency in managing virtualization applications.

The Qnap TS-1079 Pro Oman supports multiple port-trunking modes, enabling IT administrators to set up link aggregation to increase total data transmission capability. The supported port-trunking modes include : Balance-rr (Round-Robin), Active Backup, Balance XOR, Broadcast, IEEE 802.3ad, Balance-tlb (Adaptive Transmit Load Balancing) and Balance-alb (Adaptive Load Balancing).

High reliability

The TS-1079 Pro supports comprehensive RAID configuration and hot-swapping to allow hard drive replacement without system interruption. QNAP’s advanced RAID recovery technology also helps if any healthy drives are removed from a degraded RAID volume by mistake. The system can be recovered to degraded mode by reinserting the wrongly removed hard drives so the data can still be accessible. The Global Hot Spare function also enables the global hot-spare drive to automatically replace a failed drive in a RAID volume, preventing data from being lost.
